In July of 2010, I began a practice of making at least one 4 x 4″ collage a day with the goal of creating 1000 collages. Three years later, I achieved that goal. This site includes all 1000 collages.
As the project grew, I found myself working in series and with favorite materials such as 1950s women’s magazines, vintage dictionaries, a yellowed paperback collection of Emily Dickinson’s poetry, and an assortment of vintage ephemera. This gallery features my favorite collages, twelve distinct themes, and “all the rest.”
